A revised version of Firefox Web browser has offers superior speed, design as well as security
A revised version of the popular Firefox Web browser shows noticeable enhancements in features like speed, design as well as security. Many of the new enhancements in Firefox 3 incorporate bookmarks. The new version allows Web surfers to add keywords, or tags, and also to sort bookmarks by topic.
There is a new feature called ‘Places’ that lets users quickly access web sites that they have recently tagged or bookmarked and pages they frequently visit but have not bookmarked. There is also a new star button for easily adding websites to one’s bookmark list - similar to what is already available on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 browser.
Additional new features that enhance Firefox Web browser include:
- Ability to resume downloads midway in case the connection gets interrupted
- An updated password manager, which does not disrupt the user log-in process.
In Firefox 3, the back button is larger than the forward because people often tend to return to a previous page more often, stated Mike Schroepfer, the project’s vice president of engineering.
