Facebook profiles to be made public and visible in search engines
Social networking website Facebook is to make the personal profiles of its 39 million members available to online search engines next month. This imply that Facebook will follow LinkedIn and their success, enabling profiles to be searchable. This in the end means they’ll probably receive a lot of new and targeted traffic. I guess it’s often employers, recruitment firms and competitors searching for names in Google and the other search engines.
Don’t want to be visible in search engines?
Go into Facebook and adjust the security settings. Then only your friends can see your profile, while search engines are blocked.
What are you going to do?
So, will you allow search engines to see your full profile in Google or will you hide it?
