Fourth of July celebrated by search engines – here is how they did it!
The fourth of July marked the celebration of the Independence Day of the United States of America; their birthday, as some may call it.
While the citizens took a day off to enjoy the three day weekend in different ways, the search engines were also not left far behind in supporting the celebration.
Various search engines put celebratory logos on their homepages. Here’s what they have done:
- Google put up a ‘Fireworks over the lake’ logo. (It has been reported that the logo was made available only in the US.)
- Yahoo also used fireworks in their logo, but with a bit of ‘Old Glory’ in the animated logo.
- Ask.com went a bit away from the usual fireworks and turned nostalgic with what started the Independence of the USA and the Declaration of Independence.
- MSN had a small celebration with a little bit of fireworks.
- Live.com was probably the only engine that did nothing to commemorate July Fourth.
