Google is the most coveted workplace of MBA graduates.
A new survey to find out the most preferred firm where MBA students would like to work has revealed that 23.65 per cent of those surveyed have named Google as their top choice.
The survey shows that the top search engine easily scores over firms like investment banks and top management consulting firms as the most coveted workplace of MBA students. In fact, Google has been selected as the ‘most coveted and preferred employer of MBA graduates’ for the second year in a row.
The reasons for Google being the top choice are obvious. It is one of the most globally recognised and reputed brands. Also, the youths relate with and really find the company’s perks as well as the corporate culture appealing.
If the number of students who want to work there is high, the selection process will obviously be equally gruelling. Google attracts MBA’s to itself because, as Yvonne Agyei (Google’s director of global university programmes), would explain:
They (the MBA students) really get a lot of responsibility right at the outset.
The poll was conducted by Universum Communications.
