Google Knol Released in French, German and Italian
Google Knol has recently been launched in three global languages. It is now available for users in French, German and Italian. The creation of these international versions will allow people proficient in these languages to use Google Knol.
Google Knol has been described as a monetised and credible Wikipedia. In Knol, the writers of the published articles are held responsible for the work they submit. Readers and other users can try to make changes if they feel an article is incorrect, however the changes proposed by them have to be accepted by the original author of the article. The basic idea behind Google Knol is that Google allows numerous individuals to come up with Knols on the same topic.
Knol has been launched just about four months ago. It has had its share of problems like the fact that the website is not receiving too much traffic and also that it has been publishing incomplete or inaccurate articles. However, the creation of Google Knol in French, German and Italian could be a good move in terms of it receiving literary articles from credible sources. Also, the idea of launching itself in three international languages, will give Knol an obvious advantage over other services, such as Helium, Squidoo, WikiHow and Associated Content.
