Google Releases Chrome beta 3
Google recently released the updated version of its browser, Chrome. The search engine giant’s browser has not been able to live up to the expectations that many had. The official Google Blog said that the company has been able to fix some persistent bugs; it also moved some features around and tried to solve the problem of pop-ups that really wreak some major havoc.
Like the Homepage, the browser is simple, clean and fast. As a matter of fact, speed is the main element of Google Chrome. The browser is also clutter free but there is a considerable amount of users who have complained of it being very simple. The company could easily have added some of the links to Gmail or Google Docs. The default start page shows the user thumbnails of the pages that are visited. The ironic fact is that you cannot install the Google Toolbar unless you have Firefox. One of the most common complaints has been that Chrome users are not able to subscribe to RSS feeds.
Google has paid attention to some of the problems that were highlighted by users and also fixed them up. For instance, scrolling with laptop pads now works. Videos can be easily loaded and do not stop abruptly. The comments by users on the new update seem positive and they also praise the new changes and some point out some other faults. There is also high anticipation for the Linux version.
Even if Google keep working all the time and make the Chrome more user-friendly what remains to be seen is that can its browser become as popular as Firefox or Internet Explorer?
