Lynda Clarizio: new president for AOL’s Platform-A

Lynda Clarizio was named President of Platform-A, AOL’s advertising unit. Earlier Clarizio has been President of Advertising.com but in her new role she will lead the industry’s largest online advertising network. She is to report directly to AOL President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Grant.

Grant said, “Lynda Clarizio is the perfect choice to lead Platform-A to its next stage of growth, as we consolidate and integrate the organization, and focus on bringing our unmatched advertising network to market. With Platform-A, we can offer advertisers and publishers access to premium vertical channels, the leading third-party multi-media network and best-in-breed advertising technologies. There’s no one better qualified to do this than Lynda, whose track record at Advertising.com has been nothing short of stellar”
A number of companies, including some that have been acquired recently in the past few months, are under Platform A, waiting to be integrated completely.

Clarizio said, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead Platform-A. With Platform-A, we are creating a unified suite of marketing solutions to enable advertisers to harness the full power of digital media to meet their marketing needs. We also offer publishers a comprehensive set of tools and technologies to manage and monetize their advertising inventory. As Platform-A evolves, we will be organizing ourselves to create stronger alignment among our teams to put us in the best possible position to achieve our strategic goals”

Clarizio has replaced Curt Viebranz, former CEO of TACODA, who had became Platform-A’s first President in the fall of 2007, when it was announced.
