Microsoft Live Search added to Facebook
According to a new posting titled ‘what are you looking for, today?’ by Leah Pearlman on Facebook, the networking website is always working on new innovative ways to make user experience more handy and useful. Toward that goal, they have just added Microsoft Live Search to Facebook’s search experience (currently for people in the US).
This is among the many steps to be taken in offering users the ability to get content from across the web when they are using Facebook. Leah Pearlman notes:
“You can increase the information that is available to share with your friends, co-workers and family members on the website, by integrating web search into Facebook.”
For instance, your friend may perhaps invite you to an entertainment event. Without leaving Facebook, you can then check out the venue details on the web. Or, consider you see photographs in your news feed about a recent trip by your friend to Dubai. You can opt to search for more information on the web about travel without leaving Facebook. You may also see ads for products and services relevant to your query.
These are practical examples of how search can greatly improve your capability to find and share something that is more relevant to you.
