Online consumer confidence is on the rise. The latest figures from IMRG are showing that 76 % of online shoppers have confidence in the web security. At the same time online shoppers satisfaction with product and service information remains steady at 76 %.

What do people shop online?
Do you know what’s popular to shop online? The IMGR research shows that books, video and CD’s are very popular to purchase online, 75 % prefer doing it that way rather than shopping in-store. Travel and tickets is another sector that’s doing well online. 69 % of the consumers prefer to buy hotels, cheap flights and concert tickets on Internet. When it comes to home and consumer electronics 52 % rather buy online then in-store, while gifts (43 %), health and beauty (29 %) and clothing (25 %) are still more popular to buy in-store than online.

More than 2800 people were participating in this survey, a joint venture between eDigitalResearch and IMRG.
