Orkut, the social networking site has now got a new look. The site has gone through many changes since its beginning. Orkut has played an important role in bringing people closer to each other and users can now tell the world their story as to how the site has helped them. Now users can crop their profile pictures as per their requirements. The style of sending scraps has also advanced. Users can now add pictures and videos as compared to the earlier form of text scraps. You can send birthday wishes which can be uploaded through YouTube and this video can be attached to the friend so that he can experience a live birthday wish. A new tab “mutual communities” is added where common communities between the user and the friend can be viewed, when a user views their friends list of communities.

Security tips for users are displayed on the interface. In the United States, users have an additional tab “friend’s map” where the user just has to click on the area and can see friends in that area.
