Rumours of RealNetworks eyeing Scrabulous
Till just a few months back Scrabulous was one of the most preferred applications on Facebook. But it seems that RealNetworks really loves it more than its users. The application is a scrabble clone and RealNetworks aims at offering the famed game an online identity. As per sources RealNetworks will supposedly purchase the original application. Owned and developed by two brothers, Rajat and Jayant Agarwall from India, the application was developed last year and gained instant success.
This move, if executed, should skyrocket RealNetworks into social gaming fame. The product is great and an online version should not go unnoticed. They are sure to earn the respect of Facebookers as the game was scrapped in its peak days. There were many protest groups voicing against the fall of Scrabulous. But with RealNetworks it seems as if Facebookers have a reason to “keep the faith”.
