Social networking website Bebo fend off Yahoo bid
Britain’s leading social networking website, Bebo, want to remain independent and grow organically, despite a £500m bid from Yahoo. The company has about 9 million users in UK and around 31 million worldwide. It seems like they want to grow a lot more organically, before any further discussions can take place. “We do see value in staying independent and we’d rather work towards eventually an IPO then looking at a private sale, says the spokesperson for Bebo.
