Stay tuned for the official Tom Cruise site launch
The ‘tomcruise.com’ domain was fiercely contested not so long ago before finally being handed over to the silver screen icon, actor Tom Cruise. It now seems that the web site is getting ready for its full launch, if some sponsored ads, which appear on Google when the keyword ‘Tom Cruise’ is typed and searched, are taken into consideration.
he scoop on the ads was brought out, courtesy The Hollywood Newsroom, almost immediately after the actor appeared on Oprah’s show. The Hollywood Newsroom also noticed that Google ads were throwing results like, “Get the real scoop from Tom Cruise. Stay Tuned for Official Site Launch”, or “The Countdown is on…Tom Cruise launches May 5th. Get the Scoop!” and even some like “The Official Site Launches Soon!”
The marketing team in charge of the Tom Cruise’s site has definitely done an excellent job in devising successful site promotion strategies, if the unconfirmed reports are any indication. They also seem to have got the timing right. It was soon after Oprah and Tom talked about the upcoming site that the Sponsored Ads started appearing. The marketers clearly knew when to run the ads, and the strategy has worked.
