TV Guides introduces the next generation mobile site
One of the very well-known weekly magazines, TV Guides has introduced a next generation mobile site, which serves as an on-the-go version of the regular TV Guide web site. This site will enable customers to access the latest television news, information and guidance services. All consumers need to do is log on to the website m.tvguide.com on their web-enabled mobile phone and they can get all of the information they have been looking for whenever and wherever.
This new TV Guide site is targeted towards TV fans across all age groups and demographics. However, the audience belonging to the age group of 25-34 comprises nearly 25 per cent of the media company’s user base. It will be a free service, which will offer a personalised 14-day advance peek at localised TV listings, including episode descriptions.
Additionally, mobile readers will get ‘Breaking News’, ‘What’s on Tonight’ and other recaps of the highlights of the previous night. Plus, they can have customised settings, such as My Favourite Shows and My Favourite Channels based on their preferences. This mobile TV Guide will let the customers select up to five favourite shows offering episode recaps and show commentary. In addition, they can use a mobile chat service to text other fans.
