TweetRemote lets users publish better looking and customised Tweet on blogs
There is a new open source manner in which Twitter can be integrated with blogging platforms- TweetRemote. Its aim is to provide bloggers with more control on the process by which tweets are added to blogs.
Instead of the ubiquitous way of blog integration in which Twitter tools simply collect all tweets and post them exactly how they are on blogs, TweetRemote will allow users to choose the tweets they wish to publish and also how they will look. It posts tweets by formatting them in a format that is blog-friendly.
They do this by recognising hashtags, such as links, images and text in tweets. It then gets those tweets into separate RSS style feeds, and then it formats it accordingly. Therefore everything on the blog seems aesthetically pleasing and appealing to readers. To get a properly formatted hyperlink to their blogs via TweetRemote, users will have to access the following tweet link http://tweetremote.com
TweetRemote will be best suited for those bloggers who host their own blogs since it requires, apart from uploading files, some manual configuration and is not currently adaptable to users of Blogger and Wordpress.com services.
