Major Internet Marketing Show, Ad-tech London
It’s now just a few days left until Ad-Tech London starts – one of the biggest Internet marketing shows in London<< (and Europe for that matter).
Getupdated will be present as an exhibitor with our own stand, #442. If you haven’t met us before I’d recommend you come by and say hi during the event.
What to do during the Ad-Tech Internet Marketing Show?
I’d certainly recommend going to a few seminars, but pick them carefully before getting there. Have a look at the speaker list and choose a handful every day or whatever suits your schedule. Then go to visit some of the new companies you’re interested in, or why not try some that look intriguing once there.
Below you’ll find some of the speakers and subjects I’m keen on checking out
About statistical tools
Having an advanced statistical tool is very important in order to measure which keywords that convert and how to improve conversion rates and >>Search Engine Optimisation. There are quite a lot of speakers from a wide range of companies discussing statistical tools such as:
∙ Louise Ainsworth, Managing Director EMEA, Nielsen-NetRatings
∙ Bob Ivins, EVP and Managing Director, comScore Europe
Representatives from Search Engines
I am pleased to see that many search engine representatives are coming to Ad-Tech London and I would definitely recommend that you check out the following guys:
# Chris Ward, Commercial Director, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions
I really like some of the intelligent targeting with Microsofts Pay Per Click solution. AdCenter allows you to find out where your potential customers live, work and shop. You can also target people based on gender and age group.
Something that really annoys me with MSN and all their websites is only made for Internet Explorer (IE). Not having their sites compatible with Firefox must be one of the most stupid business decisions in the history of search and they are losing a lot of customers because of that.
# Jeff Revoy, VP of Search and Social Search, Yahoo! Europe and Phil MacAuley, Head of Planning & Strategy for Yahoo will also attend. It will be exciting to hear how it’s going for Yahoo in the UK and what plans they’ve got for the future to take market share from Google. I hope they spread light on the smart pricing for Yahoo Panama which seems really good for advertisers but not for publishers.
# Matt Brittin, Director, Google UK
It’ll be interesting to hear the director of Google UK speak..
Big brands
There are quite a few big brands attending which will explain about their internet marketing success stories. Why not go and see:
# Marcel Engh, Vice President, Brand Entertainment, SONY BMG Europe
I’ll definitely go to this one. Sound like its going to be a creative and kind of different speech. We just signed a big deal with Sony BMG in Scandinavia, handling the SEO, Pay Per Click Campaigns, Banner Advertising and Affiliate Marketing for all their artists. So therefore it’s going to be extra fun to see them.
Organisations
Among the Internet Marketing organisation that are present at this exhibition I’d like to point out the following as ‘a little something extra’ :
# Tom Morgan, Managing Director, EDR, and Chairman of the IAB’s Email Marketing Council
# Alison Fennah, Executive Director, EIAA (>>European Interactive Advertising Association) – I’d recommend any creative agency to contact them offering new webdesign as well! They really need it..
Hot Internet marketing solutions
# Justin Kirby, CEO, DMC and co-founder, Viral & Buzz Marketing Association
New media solutions is always interesting to hear more about..
Other Internet marketing firms
# Kristjan Mar Hauksson, Director of Internet Marketing / Founder, Nordic eMarketing
Should be fun to meet Kristjan now that we work together at Sempo in Scandinavia.
